Itinerary

Day 1

Welcome to Cairns – on arrival please organize your car hire.

Once you have collected your car take the Cook Highway heading north along the scenic coastal drive to Port Douglas.  Keep on the Highway and pass the Port Douglas turn off for approx. 10km till you see the Mt. Molloy turn off on your left.  Take this left turn and drive exactly 2.8km and you will see a sign post on your left "SLOW VEHICLE TURNOUT 300m" - directly opposite this sign you will see the Mai Tai signage and entrance to the property.

Welcome to Mai Tai – time to settle in and relax and take a swim in our fresh salt water pool and take in the wonderful views across the Coral Coast and Daintree Rainforest.

Day 2 (B)

Free Day.

Day 3 (B / L)

Enjoy your tropical breakfast with a magical view at Mai Tai.

The Ultimate Snorkel Adventure with Wavelength – The Great Barrier Reef.

Drive yourself to the Port Douglas Marina and check-in by 7.55am.

Your tour today will include:

  • 3 Spectacular reef sites
  • All equipment you’ll need to enjoy your Great Barrier Reef experience – lycra suits or wetsuits, prescription masks, top quality fins and snorkelling gear
  • Informative guided snorkel tour with an experienced Marine Biologist
  • Morning Tea, delicious and healthy deli-style lunch, afternoon tea
  • Coffee, tea and filtered water throughout the day

Returns to the Marina approx. 4.30pm.

Day 4 – (B / D)

Enjoy your tropical breakfast with a magical view at Mai Tai.

Free Day.

Day 5 (B / L)

Daintree Safari Tour to Cape Tribulation – The Oldest Rainforest in the World.

P/U approx. 07:40am from Mai Tai Resort.

Your tour today will include:

  • Luxury 4WD 200 Series Toyota Land Cruiser with max. 6 guests per tour
  • Cable Ferry River crossing
  • Morning Tea in the National Park of homemade muffins, fresh fruit, fresh locally grown plunger coffee & Tea
  • Guided Walks
  • Cape Tribulation Beach
  • Secret swimming hole away from the crowds
  • Daintree Ice-cream Company – treat yourself to a tropical fruit ice cream
  • Alexandra Lookout
  • Lunch at The Daintree Tea House Restaurant
  • A one hour guided wildlife cruise on the Daintree River

Return to Mai Tai around 4pm.

Day 6 (B)

Free Day.

Make your way to the Marina in Port Douglas to board your Sailaway Sunset Cruise. 1 ½ hours sailing along the Coastline off Port Douglas.  Include a selection of delicious Hot/Cold canapés and welcome drink. Boarding time is 4.45pm for 5pm departure and returning at 6.30pm.

Free day.

Day 8 (B)

Depart Mai Tai.

Goodbye from Mai Tai Resort – we hope you enjoyed your stay and wish you a pleasant trip home.

Leave Mai Tai and drive yourself back to Cairns to drop off your car hire then orgainse to get yourself to Cairns International Airport for your next flight.

Conditions

Rates quoted are in Australian Dollars and fully inclusive of the Goods and Services Tax.

  • Check-in time is 2pm and Check-out time is at 10am
  • 50% Deposit require at time of booking and full monies due 30 days prior to arrival.

We accept the following credit cards:

  • Visa (When paying by Visa an additional 2.2% will be added to final account)
  • Master Card (When paying by Master Card an additional 2.2% will be added to final account)
  • American Express (When paying by Amex an additional 5.2% will be added to the final account).

All card fees paid are non-refundable.

Cancellation Conditions

All cancellations must be received per email.

If your cancellation is received 30 days or more prior to arrival the full deposit will be refunded less AUD$300.00 administration costs.

Any cancellation received 30 days or less prior to arrival you will be charged the full amount of the total stay / packaged booked.

Please note to book above package we require a 50% deposit at the time of booking and balance to be paid 30 days prior to arrival.

All credit card fees charged are totally non-refundable.
